circolo vela torbole

Local roots, global appeal

2024 is a special year for Circolo Vela Torbole, as it will celebrate its 60th anniversary.

Over the years, the club has seen its fair share of excitement and excellent sailing, regularly playing host to Olympic Champions, most recently Circolo Vela Torbole’s honorary member Ruggero Tita, and serving as testing ground for new spectacular classes. A curiosity: it was here that the 49er was named Olympic class in 1996.
The club is also known for its many partnerships exchanges with other clubs from all over Europe.

From the very beginning the clubhouse has been located in the area known as Conca d’Oro (golden basin), created by the debris excavated during the construction of the tunnel linking the river Adige to Lake Garda. The club sits right next to the marina, a perfect place to set sail with the wind abeam.

The 420 will be based at Circolo Vela Torbole for the Youth Worlds.
